The mission of Cypress Women's Ministries is to CONNECT women to God and one another by REACHING the lost, GROWING in Christ, and SERVING others. We offer meaningful women's events, fun activities, Bible studies, service opportunities, and groups for specific seasons of a woman's life. REACH out to a friend or neighbor and bring her to one of the following events:

A Night of Comedy with Christian Comedian Kerri Pomarolli

Tuesday, October 21, 2008; 7:00-8:30pm
East Auditorium at Cypress Wesleyan Church

Kerri Pomarolli is one of today's fastest rising stars in the Christian arena and is being touted as the Christian Bridget Jones. Her lethal wit keeps audiences of all ages laughing with stories of her "southern belle" mother who was obsessed with seeing her only daughter married, and an Italian father who's watched one too many episodes of The Sopranos, and tells everyone the family is in the Witness Protection Program!

She tours nationally with her hilarious, yet inspirational comedy routine. Kerri is a veteran of television with credits that include 27 appearances on The Tonight Show, Comedy Central, Lifetime Network, ABC, Fox, TBN, CBN, Port Charles, General Hospital, and The Total Living Network, to name a few. She is the author of the book Guys Like Girls Named Jennie, where she writes about her obsession with finding a man through hilarious scenarios. Apparently she suceeded, as Kerri now lives in the Los Angeles area with her husband of 4 years, comedian Ron McGehee and their new daughter, Lucy.

Line Dancing/Exercise Class
Tuesday, September 16, 2008; 7:00-8:30pm
East Auditorium at Cypress Wesleyan Church
Instructor: Debbie Brisentine
Cost: FREE!

This line dancing class is for all ladies - whether you're brand new to it or you've tried it before! Set to different types of music, it's a great way to get some low-impact aerobic exercise while having fun. Our motto for the evening will be "so what, who cares?", which will cover any missteps, so don't be embarrassed of your coordination or ability. The most important thing is to get our bodies moving and have fun while we're at it! Plan on wearing comfortable clothes and shoes and having a good time.
